CU SOCCER FIELD |
Cumberland men’s and women’s soccer has played the last two seasons at Lindsey Donnell Stadium-Kirk Field, a 1,500-seat facility on campus and the former home of the Bulldog football team.
The entire seating area and press box were installed before the 2011 academic year, giving the soccer programs one of the nicest soccer facilities in the nation. The press box has four large booths as well as a roof for filming and broadcasting games. It includes phone, Ethernet and power lines and a completely new sound system was installed for the facility when the bleachers and press box were completed.
The complex includes a fieldhouse that has coaches’ offices and team locker rooms for both clubs as well as a laundry area shared by the teams. The main athletic training room on campus is also attached to the fieldhouse, giving players easy access to treatment for injuries and ailments.
The facility also has a practice field behind the main stadium shared by both teams, cutting down on the amount of wear-and-tear on the main field by the Bulldogs and visiting teams.
